Nicely done. My … Nicely done. My sons dslite won’t power up so I’ll probably test the fuses for continuity first and hopefully they have blown cause then its an easy fix. The chances of power overload are pretty slim anyway I think.
Is it possible that … Is it possible that by dropping the DS u can break a fuse? My DS was dropped and will light up when the charger is plugged in but only for about 30 seconds and then back off. Im not getting any power to either of the screens. Can u help please?!

yes, the bare metal …
yes, the bare metal on the back of the screen is most likely the cause for the fuses to blow when dropped or bumped

I used a really small but new phillips head screw driver, and some firm pressure while turning
