i have got a website that uses PHP, i ned to upload it on to a server, i dont want to use freewebbs.
what other ones are there?

For free web hosting, I would recommend going with http://www.weebly.com. They are pretty easy to use in creating web pages. But I would recommend using http://www.zymic.com/ if you are going to need it for a php site. I am pretty certain that they have options for free hosting that supports php.

You promote it locally first. If you can pull in business from the wider net, great, but nothing comes close to a face-to-face consultation when it comes to starting and building relationships and communication.

Community colleges produce a few dozen graphic designers per term, so there is a lot of competition out there. Over time, you might be able to specialize in logos, but when you’re starting out you might find it too limiting when you haven’t really established yourself yet.

Get your site up and then hit the streets to promote yourself in person to local businesses who don’t have an on-site graphic designer, and to other graphic designers who might want to farm some work out if they’re getting overwhelmed. Print shops are going to be an asset for you as well, since your clients will probably expect you to be able to have your creations put on paper.

I’m starting up a new "by/for" teens online newspaper that will cover real news, not just the humbo jumbo you might expect in Seventeen magazine. I want to relate what’s going on in the world to teens so that they get interested or at least so they know what’s up. Teens don’t care enough because they have no idea about a lot of the news. I am a small in home breeder of Chihuahuas.
I am computer ignorant so the "do it yourself" web sites do not work for me.
I have tried to research as much as possible, but it is simply over my head. There is too much involved for me to understand.
The web designers I have checked on are totally out of my budget.
Hopefully, I can find someone that is working on their portfolio.

I’ve been searching for weeks for a super easy site builder. I have a host and domain already but have not found any site builder (I have no experience with html and all functions of web design). But I need someone to help me get a site builder or show me techniques to get a website thats easy to build.

Please try GooglePages. They tell you what to do, as long as you try to understand well all the instructions, I guess you can do it yourself.

For mini- sites, you may try Multiply. No need for web designers. They have an array of skins/ design, etc. and you can post your polls, revies, videos, blogs… all for free.

Ihave been checking out different websites to see which ones I like and I think the the style I like best can be seen at www.createsticksandstones.com. I would be happy to create your site although I would like to discuss further with you what you would like out of the site etc and would build it using a content management system making it easy to add more content.

If I was to do this project I would want to be paid a set amount per hour before starting the project and paid money in installments after so many hours or a set amount.

I have built other sites for other people before and I am in the process of updating my own site.
