A lot of people will help but not many will do it for free. We’re busy people with a lot of paying clients. Coding a website is something that takes time and effort. There are people who want to up their portfolio’s but not a lot of people will help for free. Now that we’ve been through all of that, you could try forums online, SitePoint forums has a lot of people who might do it. Yellow Pages, word of mouth, and even here on Yahoo Answers you’ll fine people.

I am currently working on my certificate for web site design in college. Were in the low counrty of sc can I find a company to work for? Who would be the best people to work for? Were would the best place to work be? How much pay can I look at getting?

As for best people, make sure you aren’t limiting yourself to just ad agencies or design firms. Every company, whether it be a school, business, hospital, sports team, etc… needs web design expertise.
Complie a good portfolio of 5 of your best websites, along with font palates and color schemes.
Create a personal portfolio website and a business identity package.
Check the job section of newspaper websites, monster.com, craigslist.com, creativehotlist.com, and definitely look into becoming a member of aiga.org. The organization hosts meetings where people who do what you want to do would be in attendance.
You can look at making anywhere from 30k-38k as an entry level salary.
i am a 15 year old that really wants to become a web designer and i know there are alot of linux builds out there and was wondering which one is the best for web design?
Ubuntu, and let me say why. Ubuntu has a large group of volunteers that build compatible software installs. Just about everything you can think of you download off the internet and install, and it runs.
Other Linux, you build the software. On a fast machine a build might take 2 hours — if everything goes right the first time.
There will be some frustration at first with Linux, but after 2 months you will never want Windows back.
At present, Flash is a big deal in the web. Flash is a WIN box programming environment. You can run some versions of Flash on Ubuntu using a windows emulator, called WINe.
